After Emma returned from a ‘Girl, Interrupted’-type retreat on the May 30 season premiere of ‘Scream,’ one of her friends got killed. Plus, someone also started blackmailing Audrey with her love letters to Piper. Will her secret past get exposed? Read our recap!
Piper may have already been killed, but that doesn’t mean the terror has come to an end in Lakewood. There’s another killer on the loose, and on the May 30 season premiere of Scream, one of the “Lakewood 6,” as Noah (John Karna) now refers to the survivors as, was brutally murdered!
Poor Jake (Tom Maden). He was the hottest of the hotties, but he was killed by another masked killer at the close of this week’s episode. It all happened after he and Brooke (Carlson Young) broke up, because she didn’t think things would ever work between them. And now, she’ll never know that he truly loved her.
After their split, he went on some sort of mission to prove his love for her, but he soon found himself in a bear trap and at the hand’s of this season’s mysterious new killer. And that’s when he was hung like an animal and gutted in what we would soon learn was Brandon James’ brother’s barn.
And speaking of this barn, Emma (Willa Fitzgerald) dreamt about it after returning home and celebrating her homecoming with her friends. She slept at Kieran’s (Amadeus Serafini) house, but they didn’t have sex. Instead, she just had one freaky nightmare about a little blonde girl playing with a bloody carcass inside the barn. So while hanging out with Brooke, she went on a mission to not only find the barn, but see what’s inside.
Thankfully, Jake’s body was long gone by the time she and Brooke arrived, but when they found nothing, Emma thought it might be a good idea to explore the adjacent house.
Once inside, she found clues that someone was definitely living there, and when she turned around, she was met by a masked killer!
Elsewhere this week, Audrey (Bex Taylor-Klaus) found herself at the hands of a deadly prank. And soon thereafter, she started getting mysterious calls and texts from someone who sounds a lot like last season’s killer. At first, she didn’t take it too seriously, but then this caller started threatening to expose her secret past with Piper (ie. their love letters). Once Noah found out about the freaky texts and calls — not the part about Audrey’s connection to Piper — he insisted she tell the police, but seeing as how she’s afraid they’ll discover her connection to Piper, she begged him to drop it. But it doesn’t seem like the killer wants to drop it at all.
