With Memorial Day upon us, we’d like to take this moment to remember all the brave people who died while serving in our country’s armed forces. And while we’re on the subject of reminiscing, we’re also looking back at celebrities who left us far too soon — click through the gallery to join us.
There are far too many stars who have just died far too young, and we miss them every day. Today, we’re honoring celebs like Cory Monteith, Whitney Houston, Paul Walker and more who left us too soon. Take a trip down memory lane by clicking through the gallery right here.
The world was rocked earlier this year when news broke that Prince had died on April 21 at just 57 years old. Weeks later, his cause of death still has not been confirmed, but officials are looking at a possible overdose, with speculation that he had also been suffering health issues for quite some time.
Possibly more devastating, though, was when it was revealed that Cory was found dead in his hotel room back in July 2013 — he was only 31 years old and in the middle of his run on Glee at the time. The actor died of a “mixed drug toxicity” of heroin and alcohol, and honestly, we’re still not over it.
Another sad story is that of Whitney and her daughter, Bobbi Kristina. The iconic singer was discovered submerged in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Feb. 2012 and soon pronounced dead, and just three years later, in Jan. 2015, Bobbi was also found unconscious in a bathtub. She was kept in a medically induced coma for months, and died on July 26, 2015.
Paul’s young death was also tragic: He and his friend, Roger Rodas, were driving in a Porsche on Nov. 30, 2013 when it crashed and went up in flames. The actor left behind a teenage daughter, Meadow, and his loss was severely felt throughout the next few years, as he had been in the middle of filming Furious 7 at the time of his death, and it was released in April 2015.
