Is Quinn dead or alive? That’s the question ‘Homeland’ fans want answered. Showrunner Alex Gansa revealed Quinn’s fate, and the show will never be the same.
Will we see Quinn again on Homeland? Showrunner Alex Gansa revealed what’s in store for season 6 of the hit show, including what happens to Quinn. Did Quinn survive the season 5 finale? Find out now!
“Rupert will be back, but not the same,” Alex said at Homeland’s Emmy campaign on May 25 at a For Your Consideration panel. “How we’re dramatizing Peter Quinn is still undecided at this moment.”
Quinn looked pretty dead at the end of last season after being exposed to a lethal dose of Sarin gas. Carrie was just about to pull the plug on him, but it looks like she didn’t do it after all. But what will the lasting effects be of Quinn’s near-death experience? Rupert Friend offered some clues.
“I hope he enjoys eating through a tube,” Rupert joked to EW. He also said that Quinn will be a “changed man,” and we’ll see a “more intimate and personal side” to his character. Alex also said Quinn’s story will “surprise people, and it may not be what you think.”
Maybe Quinn won’t be so intense this time around. The man deserves some happiness — with Carrie, please!
After spending last season in Berlin, Homeland will now head to New York. The entire sixth season will take place between election day and inauguration day. “In that 72 days, we’re hopefully going to tell an interesting story,” Alex said at the panel.
