The divorce between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp has taken a dark turn, as she has reportedly accused Johnny of domestic abuse! Amber reportedly had a bruise on her face when she showed up in court to file a restraining order against him!
As if the sudden divorce between Johnny Depp, 52, and Amber Heard, 30, wasn’t shocking enough, now the Drive Angry star has accused her husband of physically assaulting her! Amber has claimed this alleged abuse has been going during various times throughout her marriage!
Amber and her lawyer, Samantha Spector, appeared in court on May 27, according TMZ. The two presented photos showing bruises all over Amber’s face, accusing Johnny of physically assaulting her repeatedly during their 15-month-marriage. Along with the photos, Amber reportedly sported a fresh bruise on her face, as she claimed her husband allegedly smashed an iPhone into her head during an incident on May 22.
She and her lawyer are requesting a temporary restraining order against Johnny, according TMZ, claiming that she’s still in “an immediate threat of harm” from her husband. Johnny was not present during this court appearance as he’s been out of town since May 25, promoting his new movie, Alice Through The Looking Glass. The Black Mass star was represented by his lawyer, Laura Wassar, during this intense court appearance.
Amber filed for divorce from Johnny on May 22, two days after his mother, Betty Sue Palmer, passed away. Johnny’s statement on his wife calling for the end of their 15-month marriage was quick and too the point, saying he hoped “the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.” With these new allegations of repeated physical abuse, it’s very unlikely that this will be “resolved” anytime soon.
Johnny and Amber were wed in 2015, and neither entered into this marriage with a prenup agreement. Amber reportedly filed for spousal support from her husband, who is estimated to be worth $400 million dollars. Johnny turned down the request.
There has been much speculation as to why Amber called off this wedding, with reports that Johnny’s family hated her and that he refused to have a child with his young wife. Johnny was also prone to “roller coaster [mood] swings,” a source EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com, adding that the “moody, emotional” actor was “not an easy person to live with.” That would be the understatement of the year if these allegations of domestic abuse turn out to be true.
