Let’s get one thing straight: James Corden absolutely crushed David Schwimmer in his latest Rap Battle on ‘The Late Late Show’ — however, James did rely mostly on one punchline! Watch it here.
David Schwimmer took on both Rebel Wilson and James Corden on last night’s The Late Late Show and let’s just say, Rebel and James were both all about Ross. Granted, they also threw in an O.J. reference and even a Madagascar mention, but let’s just focus on the Friends bits, including one line about Jennifer Aniston that had us LOLing.
Here are all of James’ mention of the epic tv show:
“Millennials let me introduce you to this guy, his name is David he was famous in ’95.”
“That’s when he was hot, he was on TV then; now it’s 2016, and he has no Friends.”
“Now you got the chance to prove you got balls, while I ignore you like Jennifer Aniston does your calls.”
“You’re so well known with every role that you play, I’m like, ‘Hey I didn’t know Ross from Friends knew OJ!”
“Oh he’s surprised, didn’t know that I could slay! What’s the matter? No one told you life was gonna be this way?”
“I’m sorry this battle has left you so blue, but unlike this audience, I’ll be there for you.” (Side note: he also sang that line!)
And then there was Rebel Wilson, who also had two lines:
“David, your career — it’s a huge mistake; it’s like Ross & Rachel, they were on a break!”
“All jokes aside, man I think you’re great! I’m you’re biggest fan… when I was eight.”
And yes, even David made a slight Ross mention:
“Destroy me? Please, your rhymes totally blew. I worked with a monkey, had more skills than you.” (We love you Marcel!)
