Oh my god, Gucci Mane was released from prison on May 26, and he was especially thrilled because he got out four months early! To celebrate, 1017 Records revealed he will be going straight to the studio and recording a new mix tape to be released tomorrow! Here’s the scoop.
This is crazy! Gucci Mane, 36, has only been out of prison for a few hours, and he’s already back in the studio recording a new mix tape! 1017 Records says he plans to release the mix on May 27, just one day after he was released. It will be appropriately titled “Free Gucci.” We have all the details, right here!
It looks like Gucci was really anxious to get back to work! The rapper was released from prison on May 26, and 1017 Records (the label Gucci founded) says he went straight to the studio to begin recording a mix tape. Not only that, but fans will hear it as soon as tomorrow! Update: Gucci dropped a preview, “First Day Out Tha’ Fed,” which you can listen to here.
Gucci was probably thrilled to be leaving, because he wasn’t supposed to get out of prison for another four months. He was initially arrested in 2013 on charges of firearm possession by a convicted felon, disorderly conduct, carrying a concealed weapon, and marijuana possession. Yikes. Fans were already thrilled to have Gucci back on the rap scene. We can’t even imagine how they’ll react to the news of new music so soon!

We first learned that Gucci had been released from prison early when his girlfriend posted a Snapchat if them together with the sentiment “reunited” written over it. It seems that he was busy in prison, as he came out with a brand new six pack. If he spent half as much time writing as he did working out, we’re sure he’s got a whole library of songs ready to record!
