Enzo Amore, the ‘realest guy in the room,’ is back in the WWE! After suffering a horrifying injury at ‘Payback’ on May 1, the WWE Superstar made his triumphant return to ‘Raw’ on May 23. Click to watch and chant along with Enzo!
His name is Enzo Amore, 29, and according to him, he’s a “certified G and a bona fide stud.” He’s also back in the WWE after being rocked with a nasty head injury. Upon returning, the Superstar blessed with the gift of gab (and the gift of jab) just had one question for all his fans: “How you doin’?”
The WWE Universe nearly blew the roof off the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland, when Enzo came out to join his tag team partner, Big Cass, 29, during the May 23 episode of Raw. “The doctors diagnosed me with a concussion,” Enzo said as he stood in a WWE ring for the first time since Payback on May 1. “It’s okay. It’s what I like to call a ‘hard sneeze.’ Ah-choo.” Enzo then pulled a Cam Newton, 27, and did a very classy dab. Nice, Enzo. Nice.
“If I had a dime for every time I got knocked down and didn’t get back up, I would have–ZERO dimes,” said the smacktalkin’ skywalker, before he and Big Cass called out the Dudley Boyz for being a “couple of haters.” It seems that Enzo isn’t wasting any time as he and his seven-foot-tall bud are looking for a fight.
It’s so great to see Enzo back with the WWE, especially after what happened to him at Payback. At the WWE event, he and Big Cass were challenging The Vaudevillians to become the number one contender for the WWE Tag Team Championship. During the match, Enzo attempted to slide out of the ring but his head ricocheted off the ropes, snapping his neck back violently. As Enzo lied motionless on the floor, Big Cass stopped fighting to rush to his partner’s side.
Many WWE fans feared the worst, as Enzo was escorted out on a stretcher in a neck brace. Thankfully, it wasn’t as bad as it looked. Enzo posted a shot of him still in his hospital gown the very same night, letting everyone know he was okay. It’ll take more than a concussion to shut Enzo up.
That was a close call! A very promising career nearly came to an abrupt end. Since debuting in NXT in 2013, Enzo and Big Cass have become huge stars and fan favorites. They finally made their debut on Raw on April 4, leaving the WWE Universe chanting “how you doin’?” It seems that after that injury, Enzo is doing just fine.
Are you glad to see Enzo’s back and better than ever, HollywoodLifers?
