‘Gilmore Girls,’ ‘Boy Meets World,’ ‘Full House’ — it seems like all our favorite 90s shows are doing spinoffs these days. Could ‘Sister, Sister’ be next? HollywoodLife.com has the EXCLUSIVE on how Tamera Mowry-Housley is trying to make it a reality!
It seems to be the trend that all the cool networks are doing these days — rebooting old 90s favorites for a new generation and an even broader audience. And while we’ve seen Gilmore Girls, Boy Meets World, and Full House come back to life, Sister, Sister could be joining that list very soon! After all, HollywoodLife.com caught up with Tamera Mowry-Housley, 37, at an event for RAGÚ and, according to her, a reboot may become a reality way sooner than you think!
When asked if a Sister, Sister spinoff was a possibility, Tamera enthusiastically replied that she and her twin sister Tia Mowry, are definitely onboard and that they really “want to.” “We just need to get in touch with the right person,” the mom-of-two revealed to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
“We’ve put it out there, so I’m really going to have to talk to my managers and see how we can get that done.” Better get on that, Tamera! We certainly would love to see one of our favorite series experience a revival, and honestly, we’re not alone. Even Tamera agrees. “A lot of people would love to see it, WE would love to see it,” she gushed.
But there’s one thing holding the star back. Understandably she wants to make sure the reboot doesn’t disappoint. “We want to make sure that it’s right,” she dished. “We want to do a movie rather than a tv series. We’re talking about it!” Eek! Tamera and her team are “talking” about it, you guys! That means a spinoff is quite possibly fast approaching — and a MOVIE at that! Our 12 year-old selves are freaking out right now.
And while we know these projects can take time, the first steps in making it happen are to discuss it, and for the stars to actually WANT to do it — check and check! Especially with all the success other recent reboots have experienced, we would not be surprised at all if Sister, Sister joined in on the throwback fun.
Even better, Tia and Tamera BOTH mentioned to HollywoodLife.com back in 2015 that yes, they are definitely trying to make a reboot happen. “The fans, they really want it, so we’ll give it to them probably,” Tia dished at the time. Is this not the best news ever, or what?
Tell us, HollywoodLifers — would YOU love to see a Sister, Sister reboot? Sound off!
