Is JoJo Fletcher going to give up a lot in order to be the next ‘Bachelorette’? Former ‘Bachelor’ Sean Lowe stopped by the HollywoodLife podcast to give some advice for JoJo as she begins her journey on Season 12, and he warned that she’ll have to prepare for some major sacrifices! Listen here!
The Bachelorette is a show full of love, drama and…sacrifices? When Sean Lowe, 32, and his wife Catherine, 30, came by HollywoodLife‘s podcast to talk everything Bachelor, he had no problem admitting that JoJo Fletcher, 25, might have to forgo some things in her search for love. Take a listen to our interview with Sean and Catherine and hear the emotional advice they had for JoJo!
“I think the main thing — I don’t think you need advice going in, you’re going to be able to figure it out on your own — it’s going to be a fun experience. I’m sure you’ll make different relationships and so forth, but you need advice when you come off the show, when the cameras stop rolling. That’s when it becomes difficult,” Sean told us. “You’re in a real relationship and it’s supposed to work out. So often it doesn’t. That’s when we come into play. We tell people, you have to commit to the relationship, you have to make sacrifices. We’ve been really blessed and fortunate to end up where we are, but it’s been really hard for a lot of couples.”
As one of the show’s biggest success stories, Sean and Catherine are certainly two of the best people for JoJo to receive advice from going into her own season. But frankly, it sounds like JoJo doesn’t exactly need any words of wisdom for tackling the actual show — rather, the post-show romance is where sacrifices are really made!
In fact, Catherine said that one of the most trying points in her relationship with Sean was when he competed on Dancing With The Stars immediately after they got engaged on The Bachelor. Because the show required them to move to Los Angeles, Catherine had to give up the life she had in Seattle in order to be with Sean. Even with this major sacrifice, though, Catherine stressed that commitment is the number one thing that got them through it. She also mentioned that the Bachelor/Bachelorette family is a great support system when the post-show relationships are trying.
“Everyone who has been in it has been so wonderful to speak to,” Catherine added. “If you need anything, everybody who has been on the show can understand and relate. I think everybody feels comfortable to talk to anybody.”
Along with the advice Sean and Catherine are offering JoJo prior to the season starting, Sean said that Catherine will be reaching out to JoJo once her season is over to show her support. How sweet is that? Even if JoJo is going to be making sacrifices throughout her journey to find love, at least she can have the comfort of knowing Catherine will be there for her!
Sean and Catherine didn’t reveal if they’ll be watching JoJo’s season, but we can’t exactly blame them if they don’t — because they’re going to be busy preparing for a baby! They’re expecting their first child together later this year, and they informed us that one way they’ve already started prepping is by using Dreft, the number one laundry detergent for babies and moms. But no matter how busy they may be, it sounds like Sean and Catherine are ready to help JoJo out if she needs them!
