Like awesome! Eighties pop band, The Go-Go’s, gave a totally tubular performance of ‘We Got The Beat’ at the Billboard Awards on May 22 — and we loved every minute of it!
Put on your Guess jeans and your neon leg warmers because the Go-Go’s just brought the 1980’s back in a major way. The legendary band who made history as the first all-female band that played their own instruments AND wrote their own songs, crushed their performance of “We Got The Beat” at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on May, 22.
They’re back and we couldn’t be any happier! Belinda Carlisle, 57, Jane Wiedlin, 58, Margot Olavarria and Elissa Bello made us feel like we went back in time as they blasted out the iconic tune. No lip syncing or back up dancers needed to get the crowd up off their feet, dancing along. Just their raw performance blowing everyone else away. Ok so they may have had to shake off a little rust at the start, before long the iconic front woman was belting out the pulsing vocals like she did 30 years ago.

And can we just talk about how the lead singer looked for a minute? Belinda was absolutely stunning in her shimmery outfit and flawless complexion. For any of you 80’s fans out there this was definitely the highlight of the night!
But if the 80’s aren’t your thing there was plenty more to check out. Between Rihanna, 28, singing “Love On The Brain,” Kesha‘s, 29, cover of Bob Dylan’s, classic “It Ain’t You, Babe”or Adele‘s, 28, debut of “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” there was plenty for music fans to love.
What do you think HollywoodLifers? Did you LOVE the Go-Go’s bringing the 80s back?
