Taking the stage at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards, Pink gave fans one heck of a show as she performed the world television debut of her new song ‘Just Like Fire.’ And from her flawless vocals to her amazing ensemble, the pop star’s epic moment was BEYOND memorable!
Pink, 36, sure knows how to command a stage! Belting out her new hit song, “Just Like Fire,” from Alice Through The Looking Glass, the singer hit every note at the 2016 BBMAs while igniting the stage in flames. And we have to say, we loved EVERY minute! She even performed her own acrobatic acts — talk about amazing!
In a fabulous black tule gown — complete with elbow-high leather gloves — Pink hung from a swinging clock as she flew over the audience all while singing her newest jam! If anyone can pull something like that off, it’s the pop singer. Even more impressive, as she twirled high above the audience, her voice did not waver at ALL! Crazy, right?
The incredible performance may just have been our favorite of the entire night as Pink’s act totally resembled a Cirque du Soleil show. It was whimsical, exciting, and definitely gutsy! But above all, Pink was having an absolute BLAST and we could not take our eyes off of her! For the grand finale, the artist — in her sky-high stilettos no less — took a seat on a swing that dropped down from the ceiling as she was propelled up in front of a massive clock. Out of nowhere the clock went up in flames and that’s when the audience went completely wild! Talk about powerful.
Pink was the very first performer to announce her stint at the 2016 ceremony, and it’s pretty clear that she did not disappoint. After all, her performance was highly anticipated as “Just Like Fire” was the singer’s first single in three years, and her first original song for a live-action movie. Pretty sweet, huh? We definitely think she did it justice!
But we’re not even surprised that Pink totally rocked that stage — after all, this wasn’t her first time performing at the BBMAs. The star even has one Billboard Music Award under her belt! Back in 2003 Pink blew fans away with her performance of “God Is a DJ,” which turned into its own acrobatic act. Transforming the stage into a giant turntable, Pink jammed out to a screeching guitar solo and shoved one dancer’s head into her crotch before writhing around on a giant record player. See? The artist has ALWAYS been creative with her BBMA performances!
Did you love Pink’s performance as much as we did, HollywoodLifers? How amazing did she sound up there on stage?
