Well there you have it! Another ‘Survivor’ season full of twists and turns is one for the record books, so let’s get to know a little more about the last man — or woman — standing
One contestant from Survivor Kaoh Rong walked away a millionaire after the big finale for season 32 May 18. So was it Michele Fitzgerald, Cydney Gillon, Aubry Bracco or Tai Trang who went all the way as the ultimate player to outwit, outlast and outplay? Here are five things to know about the big winner, but beware because WARNING there’s a **GIANT SPOILER** ahead!
Drum roll please for……Michele Fitzgerald! She claimed victory in Survivor Kaoh Rong, so let’s get to know five things about her!
1. Michele’s main motivation to go on Survivor was to win the $1 Million prize…and she succeeded!
In her Survivor page bio, she says the reason she applied to get on Survivor was that, “The adventure junkie in me wants take myself out of my comfort zone, but ultimately, I’m applying to win. It’s all about the money, honey! My car shakes at any speed over 50mph so I desperately need to replace that tin can.” Now she’ll be able to get whatever new ride she wants with the big fat check she picked up!
2. Michele predicted her big, bold game skills before she started the competition.
“I’ve watched every season, so I know what it takes to be successful on this show. Using my charm, I think I can build strong relationships and lead an alliance without being viewed as aggressive. I’m not gonna play on the sidelines. I want to make big, badass moves that will get me further in the game, and have fun doing it.” She sure did!
3. Michele’s personal inspiration in life is Harry Potter.
She says that “His character chose bravery in the face of darkness and adversity. I appreciate anyone who overcomes obstacles without pitying themselves for being dealt a bad hand. Plus, magic.” Hah! Who doesn’t love magic?!
4. Michele worked as a bartender before going on Survivor.
The Freehold, NJ native was slinging drinks for a living before winning the $1 million prize. Now she can buy her own bar!
5. Michele was confident that her that her positive energy would help her win the competition.
When asked before the show what attribute would lead her to victory, she said, “My positivity. I wouldn’t let anything dampen my spirit. Enthusiasm is electric, and that attitude would shape the tone around camp.” Mission accomplished Michele!
