It’s Mariah’s wedding and she can be a diva if she wants to. The singer dished about her luxurious wedding to James Packer, but didn’t mention a celeb wedding singer. That’s because Mimi doesn’t think anyone is good enough!
Mariah Carey’s, 46, diva mode is in full effect. The singer stepped out in New York City on May 15, and talked about her luxurious wedding to billionaire boyfriend, James Packer, 48. The ceremony will definitely be one for the books, but you can forget about a wedding singer because she doesn’t think anyone is qualified!
Who could possibly sing at Mimi’s glamorous wedding? Mariah does have a long list of talented, celebrity friends including Alicia Keys, 35, and Usher, 37. But if you ask her, “f*cking nobody” is qualified. Geez, that’s a little harsh! CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE VIDEO OF MARIAH!
Although the star thinks no one else can handle the job, she says that she definitely won’t be taking the mic at her own wedding reception. “Of course I’m not going to perform at my wedding. It’s not even gonna be like that,” she said, wearing a pair of tinted sunglasses and a leather jacket. The singer, known for her high-pitched vocals and range, has admitted that this wedding will be very traditional. “I’m not even sure someone is performing. It’s more gonna be a small thing. We already did the thing with the ring. So, you know, it’s over the top already! It’s over the top enough.”
And they definitely did go above and beyond with the ring. James gifted his fiancee with a $10 million, 35-carat rock that was larger than life! Even though the wedding will be more tamed, it’s a little surprising that she doesn’t want anyone to sing at least a song.
There may be some talented wedding singers, Mariah is overlooking, but a live band could be just as nice, but there’s still plenty of time for her to figure that out. And since Mariah has her own reality show, Mariah’s World coming to cable television fairly soon, we’re thinking that she will definitely spill on all the wedding details — from her gown to party favors.
HollywoodLifers, who do you think is qualified to sing at Mariah’s wedding?
