Everyone can now breathe a sigh of relief, because Sinead O’Connor is no longer missing. The singer went MIA on May 15 after a bike ride just outside of Chicago, Illinois, and after 24 hours missing and classified as ‘suicidal’, the ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ singer has finally been found.
Thank goodness! We were so worried for Sinead O’Connor, 49, after she went missing on May 15. The “Nothing Compares 2 U” singer went out for a bike ride around 1pm on May 15, and she never returned leaving family, friends, and fans in a panic. However, on May 16, the Wilmette police department reported she was “safe.” Here’s the scoop.
Phew! Fans were in fear for Sinead’s life on May 16, after she was listed as a missing person. Thankfully, the Wilmette Police Department sent out a press release around 1:45 pm on May 16 saying that the singer was a-okay. “Sinead O’Connor has been located,” the reported, “She is safe and is no longer listed as a missing/endangered person.” We’re so glad!
The 49-year-old has been suffering from PTSD, and after going out on a bike ride in the town near Chigago, Illinois on May 15, she never returned. Almost 24 hours later she was still missing with no one knowing where she went. That’s when police launched a missing person’s investigation.
Terrifyingly, Sinead was considered suicidal when she went missing. This isn’t the first time fans have had to worry about the star. In Nov. 2015, she left what seemed to be a suicide note on Twitter to her son Jake Reynolds, saying “Jake, kindly go to the court on Tuesday and take custody your brother from Tulsa. My lawyer will be making the illegal way yourself and Donal got him into Tulsa (lying to the cops etc) known to the judge. expect to be in trouble. In fact you’d best bring a lawyer of your own. And do not abandon your brother or any other of my babies again. What you have done to your brother and your mother is LITERALLY criminal.” Yikes! We’re glad that she has been safe both times.
