The primary elections on May 10 are bound to be crazy! It’s the first election night since Donald Trump, 69, secured the presumptive GOP nomination, but that doesn’t mean it’s a done deal! Who’s excited for another primary night? We sure are, especially since Ted Cruz, 45, and John Kasich, 63, suddenly dropped out of the race without any warning immediately after the Indiana primary on May 3 — the primary season is going to be a doozy now that Trump is the only person running. There are still GOP results to see tonight; republicans still need to get out there and vote! Same with the democrats, of course!
So expect the primary results from West Virginia for both democrats and republicans to roll in around 7:30pm ET, when the last polls close. The Nebraska primary (GOP only) results, should be revealed around 9:00pm ET, when their last polls close. Interested in seeing who takes home the most votes in real time? While it’s obvious that Trump will win the republican primaries tonight, he’s not exactly the GOP nominee for president just yet. It’s a little more complicated than that, even if he’s the last man standing! With 1020 delegates to his name, Trump is still 217 delegates short of securing the nomination (1237 delegates required). There are still 445 delegates at stake, and a likely contested Republican National Convention in July to deal with. What’s going to happen next? It’s anybody’s guess!
