Okay, so we’re all familiar with the tonal trend that celebs like Kim Kardashian have brought to our attention when it comes to clothes. But Christina is bringing the tonal beauty look to our attention, and we’re kind of obsessed.
A fan of sporting bold colors when it comes to her makeup, throughout this season of the Voice alone, Xtina has gone from bright red lips to ombré blue smokey eye looks. For the show’s latest episode, she went a more goth-glam route, wearing a dark purple matte lip that was offset by shimmering lavender eyeliner.
Xtina’s go-to makeup artist, Etienne Ortega, was behind her purple makeup look, adding oversized lashes and a sparkly pale green shadow on her upper lid. To copy Christina’s vampy purple lip, try Lime Crime Liquid Matte Lipstick in Jinx, which is a deep eggplant shade.
But, as amazing as Xtina’s makeup was, it was her hair that really stole the show. Trading in her platinum blonde hair for a lavender shade by Shah Karegar, Christina’s new purple hue was styled sleek and straight by Chris Appleton. Parting her hair down the middle, Chris added a tiny braid off to the side with silver hoop hair jewelry woven throughout the braid.
