Love was in the air at Blake Shelton’s private iHeartRadio show in California on May 9! The country singer invited his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, on stage with him to perform their duet ‘Go Ahead & Break My Heart,’ and their chemistry was undeniable. Watch here!
Gwen Stefani, 46, surprised fans at Blake Shelton’s concert 0n May 9 and the couple gave another epic performance of their new song “Go Ahead & Break My Heart.” Not only did they sound great on the track, but they also looked more in love than ever while serenading each other in front of the crowd. Check it out here!
The audience went nuts when Gwen stepped on that stage to join her man, and they once again performed the track that they wrote together at the beginning of their relationship. The song literally tells the story of the couple’s romance, and it’s obvious how much they both connect to the lyrics when they perform it live.
Earlier in the evening, the duo united to sing “Go Ahead & Break My Heart” on The Voice, and once again, couldn’t keep their eyes off each other. It’s an incredibly vulnerable song, as it recounts how the pair found each other after their relationships with Gavin Rossdale, 50, and Miranda Lambert, 32, fell apart last summer, and we give these two props for letting everyone in on that personal story.
“This is one of my favorite things I’ve ever written or recorded,” Blake admitted. “It came from a time and place when Gwen and I were beginning out journey together and both experiencing a hard time letting our guards down with each other. The song couldn’t possibly be more honest.” Stream Blake & Gwen’s song on Amazon Music HERE.
“Go Ahead & Break My Heart” is featured on the 39-year-old’s upcoming album If I’m Honest, due out May 20. It’s likely that most of the record will be about Blake’s split from Miranda and new relationship with Gwen and we can’t wait to hear it!
