Can the San Jose Sharks wrap up this round of the NHL Playoffs, or is there still some fight left in the Nashville Predators? These two teams will play Game 6 on May 9 and HollywoodLife.com wants you to see it! Click to watch.
It’s do-or-die for the Nashville Predators. They’re on the verge of elimination and all it takes is one more loss to the San Jose Sharks to have their NHL Playoffs dreams come crashing down. Will they pull off the epic comeback or will the team from Music City be left singing the blues?
The Predators are going to need all the help they can get to keep their Stanley Cup dreams alive. They’ll get a bump from the home field advantage when San Jose skates into the Bridgestone Arena on May 9. After seeing some hunks that are hot enough to melt the ice, sit down for some of the best hockey around. The action starts around 9:00 P.M. EST so be ready to see every second!
Though the Sharks took the first two games in the series, Nashville scored victories in games 3 and 4. However, the Sharks took a chomp out of their Nashville rivals. In game 5, four different Sharks players scored – Patrick Marleau, 36, Joe Thorton, 36, Joonas Donskoi, 24, and Joe Pavelski, 31, – with Joe nailing two goals for a 5-1 victory, per SB Nation. “We’ve still got some work to do,” San Jose coach Peter DeBoer, 47, said, according to NHL.com. “I like the fact that I think we’re getting better as the series has gone on here. I think every game we’re getting a little bit better, getting more contributions, playing better as a team. We’ve got to carry that into Game 6, because they’re not going to roll over. We know that.” If you think Nashville is going to take the cup, get your Predators official jersey here.
The Predators were down 3-2 during their series with the Anaheim Ducks in the first round of the NHL Playoffs. They came back to send the Ducks back to California. It’s possible that the Predators could pull off the repeat, especially if Mike Fisher, 35, lead the Preds on scoring again, per the Tennessean.
If the Sharks are able to win, they’ll eliminate the Preds and advance to the semifinals. They’ll either face the Dallas Stars or the St. Louis Blues. Forget the Finals – that might be the best series in the entire playoffs.
