Lamar Odom’s recovery is still, to this day, considered a real miracle among the Kardashian family. However, the former NBA star reveals it is all thanks to the genius of Kanye West and his music.
On the May 8 episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Lamar Odom, 36, credits his friend, Kanye West, 38, for saving his life. Just wait until you hear all of the sweet things Lamar told Kanye’s wife, Kim Kardashian, 35, after he realized how he was able to recover.
“Kanye’s music helped me so much. That’s when I realized I could start thinking again and things were coming back to me and I could start articulating it,” Lamar told Kim, which she revealed on the KUWTK episode. She further explains, “Kanye really felt we can cure him through music, we can get him to talk.”
But, that’s not all. Kim also revealed that Kanye “would go to the hospital and he would rap and sing” for Lamar while he was still in the intensive care unit. Wow, how amazing is that? Obviously, Kanye really did have an effect on Lamar since he was able to make such a miraculous recovery.
“I think Lamar started to get his function back and started to talk once he started to listen to a lot of music,” Kim explained, clearly proud of her man for helping out his estranged brother-in-law. As Kim was sharing all of this, her little sister, Khloe, couldn’t help but agree wholeheartedly.
“He’s always like that. He’s like ‘Kanye he saved me,'” Khloe shared as the family reminisced about the incredibly difficult time in their lives where they thought they would lose Lamar for good. “To get to a hospital and hear someone has four hours to live is horrible,” she said. “Lamar wasn’t able to walk, he had no facial recognition, he didn’t know people’s names.”
