Kanye West is taking his jealousy to a whole new level! The rapper reportedly fired one of the members of his security team for speaking to his wife right before the Met Gala. Gasp! No one messes with Kanye’s girl!
We all knew Kanye West, 38, had a bit of a temper, but he just got a little too intense! Kanye allegedly fired his security guard before the Met Gala on May 2 for talking to his wife Kim Kardashian, 35. Kanye wasn’t too fond of the way the security member was chatting up his wife, and had him taken off of security detail. Talk about drama!
The security guard at the root of the issue is Steve Stanulis, a former member of the New York Police Department. Steve was apparently giving Kim a package delivered for her outside of her and Kanye’s hotel room at the Waldorf Astoria on May 2, when the The Life of Pablo rapper flew into a fit of rage! “Something happened at the Waldorf Astoria where Kanye just lost it,” an onlooker told the New York Daily News. Apparently the star was none too happy with how chatty Steve was being with Kim. He had no problem expressing his anger in a very public fashion.
Steve on the other hand is denying any claims that something sketchy went down that night. He wants the world to know that he has not nor will he ever have an interest in Kim. “I’m a happily married man with three children and I have no comment,” Steve said in a statement.
Interestingly enough, this isn’t the first time Kanye and Steve’s paths have crossed. Actually, they reportedly got into another argument earlier this year over Kim again — surprise, surprise — during New York Fashion Week, so maybe he was tired of security being a little too close for comfort to his wife. Either way, Kanye and Kim have kept quiet about the incident, and have yet to make a statement. If we know Kanye, he’ll be saying something over Twitter any day now!
What do you think of Kanye’s behavior, HollywoodLifers? Did he overreact in his decision? Or did Steve deserve to be fired? Tell us your thoughts below!
