Uh oh. Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel turned himself in to Texas authorities on May 4 for a domestic violence charge that was filed after his ex-girlfriend said he beat her. And judging by his smirk in his mugshot, he’s not sorry. Here’s the scoop.
Wow, this is so disrespectful. Johnny Manziel, 23, was booked on May 4 for the alleged beating of his ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley, 23, and his mugshot showed no remorse whatsoever. As a matter of fact, the former Cleveland Browns quarterback is actually smugly smiling in the pic! We have all the details, right here.
Yikes. Clearly, Johnny isn’t feeling the heat of his domestic violence charge. The free agent was booked on May 4 for allegedly beating up his ex-girlfriend Colleen, and instead of being full of regret and sorrow for what he may have done, he was actually smirking in his mugshot. Real classy, Johnny.
After turning himself in to Texas police, the former NFL player was released from jail on a $1500 bond. He is expected to be arraigned on the morning of May 5 in Dallas, TX. Despite the smarmy look on his face, police tell TMZ that Johnny was in and out of the station very quickly, and that he was very polite and cooperative.
The domestic violence charge comes after Colleen filed for a restraining order against the ex-quarterback in Jan.. She said she feared for her life, and that Johnny ruptured her eardrum by hitting her in the side of the head. If Johnny is found guilty of this, he could face a year in prison. It doesn’t help his case that he’s had several run-ins with cops regarding his girlfriend.
