The worlds most fashionable stars attended the Met Gala on May 1, but not everyone was able to nail the Manus x Machina: Fashion in the Age of Technology theme. Click through the gallery to see which stars totally let us down with their red carpet looks and made our 2016 worst dressed list!
We’re all about stars making bold fashion choices — especially at a fashion-forward event like the Met Gala! But not everybody’s ensembles caught our attention in a good way, unfortunately. See who landed on our worst dressed list and help us decide whose look wins for the best of the worst here!
Okay, we obviously love Alicia Vikander, and we can see that she was totally trying to nail the Manus x Machina: Fashion in the Age of Technology theme, but this look just missed the mark. The clashing fabrics were kind of all over the place, and the combat boots just didn’t quite fit in on such a high-fashion red carpet.
Similarly, Michelle Williams rocked clunky combat boots, but she did so with a short, navy blue, boxy dress that was just way too simple. Unfortunately, her pale skin just looked way too washed out in this ensemble, and the super simple hairstyle didn’t do anything to make this whole get-up any more exciting.
And we hate to say this, but Demi Lovato just didn’t have her best night in a tight, silver sequined Moschino gown with yellow and black patterning. Her toned figure did look great in the dress, but the whole ensemble just appeared much too stiff and uncomfortable!
Click through the gallery above to see which other stars joined these ladies on our worst dressed look — you’ll be surprised at the way some of them really failed to win us over this time around!
