No, your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you — but Kanye’s are! Yeezy opted for a pair of colored blue contacts for the Met Gala, seemingly to go along with the silver and blue color palette that he and Kim had going. Although Kanye can pull off just about anything, it’s hard to deny that his ice blue eyes were a shocking departure from his normally dark brown eyes!
Because Kanye’s blue peepers were so noticeable, of course he was asked about the change in eye color. So why did Ye opt for such a drastically different color? “Vibes,” he told reporters. Looks like that’s the only explanation we’re going to get, but that’s enough for us from a guy like Kanye!
Kim didn’t comment on her hubby’s new eyes, but she seemed to be a fan of his outfit. She explained to reporters that Kanye was going for a more casual, dressed down look with the ripped denim and embellished jean jacket, while she sported an awesomely flashy gown that was certainly not casual whatsoever. Heck, they still looked great together, so we aren’t surprised that she loved what Ye was wearing! If only we knew how she felt about the blue eyes though…

No matter what Kim’s opinion is of her man’s eyes, both Kim and Kanye were super excited to have a night to themselves while North West and Saint West stayed at home. With or without Kanye’s brown eyes, date night is certainly something to celebrate!
