Hailey Baldwin stunned on the Met Gala red carpet! Dressed in a sequin-covered gown, Hailey wore her blonde hair in a simple high ponytail that showed off her polished makeup look (and some very cool earrings). Find out more, ahead!
Hailey Baldwin, 19, brought the glitz to the Met Gala on May 2 when she walked the red carpet in a black and silver sequinned gown by Tommy Hilfiger. Adding even more sparkle into the mix with stacked diamond stud earrings, Hailey matched her makeup to her dress with a gunmetal smokey eye and pulled her hair up for the high-fashion event.
Sometimes less is more with your beauty look, and with such an over-the-top dress, we love that Hailey didn’t add a competing beauty look into the mix. Instead, the model wore her long blonde locks in a high ponytail that was polished but not slicked back too tightly.
For her makeup, Hailey added a soft gunmetal smokey eye that she kept from getting too dramatic by only extending the shadow to the crease of her lid and adding a few soft coats of black mascara. Bold brows and a matte pink-nude lip balanced out her soft beauty look.
Ponytails seemed to be a trending hairstyle of the night, since Hailey’s model pal, Kendall Jenner, also went with a ponytail — keeping her style more sleek for a modern finish. Also adding slicked back ponytails as the finishing touch to their looks were Selena Gomez and Elle Fanning, who went for high ponytails, too.
Last year, Hailey surprised us all when she showed up at the Met Gala with brunette locks. This year, however, she debuted her hair makeover a little early, by going from her usual blonde shade to a festival-ready grey color for Coachella. Back to blonde in time for the Met, Hailey proved you don’t always need to debut a dramatic makeover to stun on the red carpet.
