It might be known as the “nerd prom,” but there was nothing nerdy about the beauty looks at the 2016 White House Correspondents’ Dinner. From Emma Watson’s bold red lips to Kendall Jenner’s messy ponytail hairstyle, click ahead to see all the best look!
The 2016 White House Correspondents’ Dinner brought out more bold beauty looks than any red carpet event. Held in Washington D.C. on April 30, the annual dinner gathers politicians, journalists and Hollywood stars. Bringing out major celebrities this year like Emma Watson and Priyanka Chopra, the White House Correspondents’ Dinner certainly didn’t disappoint in the beauty department.
Of course, First Lady Michelle Obama looked flawless for her last WHCD as FLOTUS. Wearing a sparkly Givenchy gown, Michelle added touches of shimmer to her beauty look as well, with shimmering eyeshadow and super shiny hair.
Following Michelle’s lead with a sparkly dress and classic hair and makeup was Priyanka Chopra, who paired her sequin-embellished black number with a neutral makeup look and undone waves that were full of shine thanks to hairstylist, Ted Gibson.
Also rocking a smooth blowout with soft curls was Nina Dobrev. Styled by Christophe Saluzzo, Nina’s long dark hair was worn loose but brushed back off of her face to show off her stunning makeup by Johny Saade, which included a bright pink lip.
Nina’s wasn’t the only bold lip at the WHCD — Kerry Washington chose a bright pink shade as the finishing touch to her LBD and top knot combo. Then there was Emma Watson, who made a classic red lip the center of her beauty look, keeping her skin so natural you could see her freckles and wearing her short bob pulled half back.
Making undone updos White House-worthy were models Kendall Jenner and Karlie Kloss. Kendall paired her messy pony with bronze skin and a ’90s-inspired brown glossy lip while Karlie took a more classic approach, with her lob styled into a slightly undone knot that she paired with dewy skin and a red lip. Keeping her updo more classic, model Adriana Lima wore her hair slicked back into a high ponytail with loose waves.
