Spring has sprung, and the stars are arriving in New York City for the Met Gala! The annual fashion event is FINALLY getting red carpet coverage, and we know you aren’t going to want to miss a single gown! Click through for more info about how to watch fashion’s biggest night!
Who’s excited to take in some serious fashion? The Met Gala, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on May 2, is one of the best — maybe the best — nights of the year to marvel at celebrity fashion and the incredible designers they’re honoring. HollywoodLife.com has all the details for how you can watch the Met Gala from home!
After years of begging and pleading, our greatest wishes have been answered: we’ll finally get to see the Met Gala red carpet on TV! How cool is that? For the first time ever, E! is hosting a Live from the Red Carpet special, just like they would any major awards show. Get comfy and settle in with your snacks at 7:00pm ET for the red carpet pre-show; the special itself starts at 7:30pm ET.
Amazing, right? You can place bets at home on the worst and best dressed of the night before even seeing it happen (*cough* couch dress)! If digital is more your thing, our sister site WWD reported that Instagram will be dedicating a video channel to Met Ball coverage! The Instagram Explore page coverage will be available until May 3 at 5:00pm ET.
Unfortunately, there is no way to watch what happens inside the actual Met Gala. But let’s be real; this night is all about the fashion, anyway! There is going to be so much to see on the red carpet this year! Gorgeous dresses, very poor choices in outfits, and amazing eye candy! Co-chair Taylor Swift, 26, usually goes for a classic old-Hollywood beauty, but with bangin’ new bleached hair and an event themed Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology, we can’t wait to see what she wears!
HollywoodLifers, are you going to watch the Met Gala red carpet? Tell us in the comments!
