Kendall Jenner went a little retro and a whole lot effortless glam with her beauty look at the 2016 White House Correspondents’ Dinner. With bronzed skin, a glossy brown lip and messy ponytail, Kendall paired her ’90s-inspired beauty look with a figure-fitting black dress and diamond choker necklace. Get the details, ahead!
Kendall Jenner, 20, missed out on more of BFF Gigi Hadid‘s 21st birthday celebrations to hang at the White House for the 2016 Correspondents’ Dinner. Confused as to why she was there? You’re not alone — even President Barack Obama joked in his speech that he’s “not sure what she does.” But the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star showed she can dress for any occasion.
Trading in her off-duty model looks for something a little more classic, Kendall’s stylist, Monica Rose, dressed her in a perfectly fitted black Vivienne Westwood gown that included a plunging neckline and flowy cape. Paired with strappy heels and a ’90s-style choker necklace, the look was totally different from the sheer bralettes Kendall has been sporting lately.
Of course, no Kardashian-Jenner look would be complete without the hair and makeup to match, and Kendall called on little sis Kylie Jenner‘s glam squad to help her get ready. Kylie’s go-to rainbow wig maker, Tokyo Stylez, kept Kendall’s natural color and styled her hair into an undone ponytail. Gathered at the crown of her head, Tokyo left out lots of face-framing pieces in the front and wispy strands in the back for a messy effect.
Over on makeup, Ariel Tejada concentrated on bronzed, slightly contoured skin and played up Kendall’s eyes by lining the outer corner of the upper lid and using a silvery shadow at the inner corners of her eyes. To add even more of a ’90s vibe to Kendall’s look, Ariel finished with a brown lip gloss like Anastasia Beverly Hills Sepia Lip Gloss.
Often referred to as the “nerd prom,” the 2016 White House Correspondents’ Dinner brought out some majorly glamorous moments. First Lady, Michelle Obama, wore her hair sleek and straight, and a slew of celebrities were in attendance, too. From Emma Watson‘s bold red lip to model Adriana Lima‘s chic ponytail, the night gave us plenty of beauty inspiration.
