They’re back at it again! After Drake offered his vocals to ‘Work’ on Rihanna’s newest album, she returned the favor by singing on the new track ‘Too Good’ from his latest release, ‘Views.’ Listen to their new duet right here!
Seriously, Rihanna, 28, and Drake, 29, can do no wrong when they team up together! On the rapper’s buzzed-about new album, Views, the pair did just that once again on the song “Too Good,” which you can listen to right here.
The song is about someone going back and forth with a significant other for a while, and finally realizing they’re simply “too good” for that person and ready to let them go. Considering RiRi and Drake are still so close, it doesn’t seem like the lyrics are telling the story of their flirtatious friendship, but their voices sound absolutely perfect together on the track. LISTEN TO THE FULL VERSION OF ‘TOO GOOD’ HERE.
“She got in the studio and just bodied it,” the rapper admitted in an interview. “It was flawless victory when she sent it back. Everything was perfect.” Of course, Drizzy and Rihanna have teamed up successfully in the past, most recently on her song, “Work,” but also on the older hits “Take Care” and “What’s My Name?”
And even though this is the only time the 28-year-old’s voice appears on Views, it’s not her only appearance on the album! On “Hype,” Drake raps, “They want to be on TV right next to me/You cannot be right next to me/Don’t you see RiRi next to me?” What a shoutout!
“We do well together as a team,” Drake confessed. “I tihnk we do great music together. It’s tough to do guy-girl collabs…I think [the chemistry] is what makes the records better. It’s something genuine there.” We’ve seen the chemistry between these two in action, and it’s safe to say it’s definitely there.
The 29-year-old dropped his highly-anticipated album on April 28, and we’re already totally obsessed over it. The Rihanna collab is obviously one of our favorites, but we’re totally loving the whole record. What do you guys think?!
