Warriors, come out and plaayyy! Golden State’s top Warrior, Stephen Curry, will watch from the bench as his team looks to close out the Rockets during game 5 of the first round of Western Conference playoffs. Catch all the NBA action April 27th, at 10:30pm EST from Oracle Arena online here!
The Golden State Warriors are the best team in the history of the NBA. The Warriors are reigning champions and this season they recorded 73 regular wins, besting the record-holding ’96 Chicago Bulls. That’s pretty good but it may not mean much if they can’t get past the Houston Rockets in the first round of the playoffs. The Warriors have a 3-1 lead heading into game 4 at home. Watch every hoop online here and see if Golden State can close out the series without their MVP.
The early reports say that Stephen Curry, 28, will be out for several weeks after slipping and spraining his knee late in the first half of game 4 against the Rockets. Riley Curry‘s dad was good for 6 points and 5 assists in his short 19 minutes of game 4.
Warriors coach, Steve Kerr, can feel good about how his team reacted to Steph’s absence in the second half of game 4. Golden State stepped-up on both sides of the floor. They dominated in every statistical category and pulled away for a 121-94 win. The Warriors had their best half of the season and it was on the road, with Steph in the locker room, on the trainers table. So they should be just fine in this game at home.
The Warriors aren’t the only team in the west with injuries. The Clippers star’s Chris Paul, 30, and Blake Griffin, 27, also will be likely out for the season. So anything is possible at this point in the year. The only thing for certain is that every game counts!
What do you think HollywoodLifers? Who will you be rooting for in this potential close out game for the Warriors? Is Golden State the best team in the history of the NBA or can Houston capitalize on the injury to Steph and grab a win on the road? Let us know who you got in this one!
