Hello again! The new ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ trailer, released on April 25, teased a major cameo of a fan favorite character. This trailer is all kinds of awesome. Click to WATCH!
X-Men: Apocalypse is going to be one of the biggest movies of 2016. An all-new trailer of the upcoming movie just dropped, teasing the epic return of a beloved character. Plus, Raven and Hank team up to train a group of young mutants to fight against the villainous Apocalypse.
Let’s talk about that cameo! At the end of the trailer, Raven/Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) finds a young Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) and Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) after they’ve taken out some baddies. But they had a “little help,” thanks to Wolverine! Before the trailer’s release, it had been rumored that Hugh Jackman’s character would show up in Apocalypse, but this is our first look of him in the movie!
But the X-Men have their biggest fight ahead. “He’s coming,” Raven says to Charles (James McAvoy) in the first moments of the trailer. She’s talking about Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), who is “some kind of god.” He can also take the powers of mutants. He’s determined to enact a new world order with only mutants.
Charles pleads with Eric (Michael Fassbender) not to join Apocalypse’s team, but Eric doesn’t listen. It appears that Charles gets taken by Apocalypse, and it’s up to Hank (Nicholas Hoult) and Raven to find a way to save Charles and the rest of the world.
They recruit Nightcrawler (Kodi Smit-McPhee), Havoc (Lucas Till), Jean Grey, Cyclops, Quicksilver (Evan Peters) and more. The best part of the trailer is a scene between Quicksilver and Raven. He tells Raven that Magneto is his father. “What?!” Raven yells.
“You’re not students anymore,” Raven tells the young recruits in an empowering speech. “You’re X-Men.” X-Men: Apocalypse will hit theaters on May 27.
