Lance Bass gave us a sneak peek at his newly renovated LA home and even dished about his *NSYNC days! He spilled about what the guys were really like on tour and even shared what items he held onto from his boyband days.
Lance Bass, 36, and hubby, Michael Turchin, opened up the doors to their recently-renovated LA home and opened up about how they managed to blend both of their styles — cohabitating always comes with compromise! They teamed up with HomeGoods to bring the look to life and were quick to share some redecorating tips. We got to chat with Lance and, as a major *NSYNC fan, we had to find out what memorabilia he held onto — and how he worked it into their new space!
We weren’t surprised to hear that Lance held onto pieces from his *NSYNC days! “My office is actually filled with cool random NSYNC memorabilia that I’ve accrued over the years from fans and touring. I’m pretty modest so I tend to not display it around the house although Michael always tries to find ways of sneakily displaying it,” he said. “I think the best NSYNC item I do, in fact, have displayed is one of our MTV moon men which is displayed in our guest bathroom holding a roll of toilet paper. It fits perfectly!”
Lance was also quick to offer up tips on cohabiting. “We believe balance is the key for successfully cohabitating with your partner. It’s no longer just you! It’s important to learn to evolve in such a way that celebrates the person you’re with and they’re tastes/habits while still maintaining the core of who you are. It’s all give and take!”
So, how did they go about blending their styles? “Fortunately our styles have always meshed very well together so creating our new home was rather exciting! We both love a mix of contemporary and classic styles so we were open to lots of new ideas. Of course though we don’t see eye to eye on everything,” he said. “I (Lance) tend to be more of the “hoarder” in our relationship and have compiled a garage full of furniture and accent pieces that are interesting to say the least. Michael, being an artist, is definitely the more design conscious of us two, and he lets his opinions known. He decided I could keep a handful of my old bachelor pad pieces that mean the most to me, and the rest had to be retired! Again, it’s all about give and take!”
Lance and Michael have a slew of famous friends, (including the former boyband members!), so we had to ask about their fun-filled nights entertaining in their new home. “Of course we’ve had the guys over to our new house–They’re family! I think both Michael and I would agree that we’d want Dolly Parton over for a dinner party. She seems so amazing! Of course we’d have to also include are friends Lisa Vanderpump and Kris Jenner because it’s never a dull moment with those two,” Lance added.
Getting the opportunity to chat with one of our fave *NSYNC’ers led us back to reminiscing about the band — so, who was the neatest on tour? “JC was definitely the neatest on tour,” Lance revealed. “He always was the most mature of the group which at times was a stark contrast from the rest of us!”
