Friends and family of Prince don’t believe drugs led to his death. Those closest to the late musician are shocked over reports of drugs contributing to his death, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned. Find out more here!
Soon after news of Prince’s death was released on April 21, reports started spreading about a possible drug addiction. However, friends and family of the late musician are standing by the impossibility of any drugs being involved in his untimely death.
“Friends close to Prince also are dumb-founded by all the drug-related media attention around his death,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. Especially considering the singer was always deeply religious and strayed far from drugs. “Many who knew him very well never saw him even take a drink of alcohol, much less party with drugs,” our source adds.
Friends and family have gathered close to mourn the loss of a brother and friend. A source confirms that Prince’s ex-fiancee Sheila E., 58, arrived in Minnesota — his home state — yesterday. However, the whereabouts of one of his other exes, Apollonia Kotero, 56, is still unknown.
The source confirms, “Close friends of Apollonia have not been able to reach her and are beginning to worry. Apollonia has been very quiet and those close to her have been unable to reach her to console her.”
Hopefully, she is just taking time to mourn the loss and will show up in good time. Meanwhile, everyone is anxiously awaiting the results of the autopsy and hoping it will prove what they’ve always known — that Prince was clean at the time of his death.
