More details are emerging about the weird circumstances surrounding Prince’s shocking death on April 21, and new reports of repeated trips to the pharmacy may prove that he was sicker than he let on and was trying to deal with the illness himself. Here’s what we know.
Whoa. Just hours before Prince’s shocking death, he was seen at his local pharmacy in Minnesota for the fourth time in just a few days. This makes it seem as though his illness was worse than the simple flu he claimed to have been battling. We have the details, right here.
Prince was desperately trying to heal whatever illness ailed him, reports TMZ. They obtained a photograph of him visiting his local Minnesota Walgreen’s very soon before his death. The employees there say that he’s been a patron of the pharmacy for years, but he had visited four times in his final days, and looked very scarily frail on his last visit, perhaps just hours before his death.
The photo was apparently taken around 7 pm on April 20, the day before he was found dead in an elevator in his home. There is currently no definite cause of death, but the frequent visits indicate that he was aware that he was suffering from a serious illness, and was trying to manage it himself.
For the week before his death, Prince’s reps have stuck to the story that he was suffering from the flu. On April 15, after a show in Atlanta, GA, he was forced to make an emergency landing just 40 minutes away from his home where he was driven to the hospital. It seemed like an odd reaction for the flu, and now we’re thinking it must have been something more serious.
TMZ sources report that Prince had put his health in jeopardy repeatedly in his final week. He left the hospital too quickly after his emergency landing, when their sources said he was still “not doing well.” Then, days later he took the stage at a local dance party and said, eerily, “wait a few days before you waste any prayers.” That was just days before his stunning death.
