Despite reports that he was very ill for several weeks before his death, a source claims that Prince was ‘extremely happy’ in the days leading up to her tragic death.
Prince, 57, passed away from unknown mystery illness on Thursday morning, April 21. However, sources claim that the singer showed no signs of slowing down and seemed extremely happy before his life was ended so quickly.
“Prince was extremely happy and up beat about life and his music a few weeks ago. His energy was high and he was feeling healthy,” a source close to the singer told E! Online in their latest report. Even though the singer seemed to be putting up a good front about everything, other reports claim that he had been suffering from the flu for several weeks before his death.
“He was an extremely private guy and had a few very close friends that he shared things with,” the source continued. “He had many more (beautiful) women around him always than men.” Prince was in-between shows at the time of his sudden death, which likely contributed to his positive attitude because he was able to do the one thing he loved right up until the very end.
A source also shared that he was “working” on new music already, which means there could be unreleased recordings from Prince that have yet to be released. It’s unclear whether or not any music will be released now that he’s gone though.
In case you missed the sad news, Prince passed away on Thursday morning, April 21. His unconscious body was discovered in the elevator of his Minnesota home, and it has been reported that police tried to resuscitate him before declaring him dead. So sad.
Our thoughts remain with Prince and his friends and family during this difficult time.
