Selena Gomez’s music and acting career is at a high right now — and there’s no stopping the ‘Hands to Myself’ singer. She’s actually in the talks to join the new crossover film, HollywoodLife.com has exclusively learned.
We know that a crossover between 23 Jump Street and Men in Black is in the works, and The Muppets director James Bobin is in talks to take the reigns, our sister site Variety reported. So could she join? It’s a definite possibility! Our insider told HollywoodLife.com exclusively that the producers are pushing for a strong female duo — and that Selena Gomez would be a great addition.
“There has been talks that the 23 Jump Street/ Men In Black crossover is happening, but one thing that isn’t being talked about is that it might actually be Women In Black, an insider revealed exclusively to HollywoodLife.com. “Sony is going to look real close on how Ghostbusters ends up doing in the box office and then push from there with a potential female duo for the future of the Men in Black franchise.”
Our source also added that the studio is in the search for younger talent, so many young stars will be auditioning.
“Selena Gomez would be one of the young female talents to have the chance to get the role. James Bobin has directed her briefly in The Muppets and really liked her and would love to work with her again,” the source added. “So if all the puzzle pieces land in place this could end up being the biggest role of Selena’s career. So now nature and a little luck has to take its course.” Listen to Selena Gomez’s hit songs here!
