Gwen Stefani, 46, went totally tribal for her performance of “Misery” on the April 19 episode of The Voice. Wearing all black, red and white, Gwen’s tribal costume kept a bit of her punk edge with a plaid corset.
Gwen’s costume designer, Mariel Haenn, shared a collage of images from Gwen’s “Misery” performance, including a detailed sketch of her head-to-toe look. Wearing a fitted black and red bodice that flared out with fringe detailing at the waist, Gwen’s look also included cropped black pants and a fringe skirt over top.
Of course, Gwen’s look wouldn’t have been complete without the dozens of accessories she rocked. Wearing stacks of tribal bracelets on each wrist, Gwen topped the look off with a white feather and black fringe-accented collar.
To match her tribal with a twist of punk style, Gwen’s hair and makeup were incredibly detailed as well. Wearing her hair in multiple reverse French braids that were accented with black bands, Gwen’s makeup centered around a black and bold blue cat eye.
Gwen’s backup dancers wore a head-to-toe tribal theme as well in a mashup of black corsets and shorts with their accessories making the boldest statement. Following Gwen’s lead, all of the dancers wore tribal bracelets and necklaces with fringed bands on their wrists and necks. The girls also wore their hair in braided styles, and all of the dancers had red face paint on. Gwen loved the look so much, she shared several pictures of her dancers to her Instagram so we could all get an up-close look at the intricate fashion and beauty details.
