Seriously, Donald Trump??? Salma Hayek totally and rightfully dissed the Republican presidential front-runner after he mixed up the 9/11 attacks with convenience store! You have to see Salma’s sassy tweet!
Salma Hayek, 49, doesn’t have time for Donald Trump‘s, 69, negative comments, and she’s fully prepared to teach him a thing or two. After the presidential candidate made headlines for confusing the 9/11 attacks with the World Trade Center attacks at “7/11” at a rally on April 18, Salma shut him down in one, epic tweet.
“I am a dyslexic Mexican and English is my second language, however even I do not confuse 7/11 with 9/11. #DonaldTrump,” the actress fired out on Twitter. That’s got to sting!
Okay, these harsh words may be a little out of character for the actress, but she feels like everyone should know about a national event like 9/11, especially some one who is an American, presidential candidate. So to her, harsh words were probably the only way to knock some sense into The Apprentice judge.
But until now, Salma didn’t quite know how to get her point across. When the beauty visited the Jimmy Kimmel Live! set in March 2016, Jimmy Kimmel suggested that if Trump could meet Salma, he might change his mind on wanting to build a wall along the Mexican border. Salma, who is a vocal, Mexican woman, might have let some of Trump’s other controversial comments fly, but she had a lot to say on the issue. As for talking to Trump, she said there is no talking “sense into people who are not seeing the madness!”
Salma isn’t the only one who feels strongly about the entrepreneur and mogul. This election season has been all about celebrities vocalizing their views and favorites. Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and John Legend have also rallied against the Republican candidate, suggesting they would leave if he was elected.
Salma hasn’t gone that far, but she’s clearly making sure that her voice is heard. We wonder if Salma got together with Chrissy Teigen for this comeback?
HollywoodLifers, what do you think about Salma’s tweet? Was she right?
