Christina Aguilera just proved you can totally rock two bold eyeshadows at once. Sporting a bright turquoise shadow with lots of shimmer, Xtina’s smokey look faded into an equally sparkly purple hue. Get the details on her look, below!
Christina Aguilera, 35, ditched the red lip look she’s been favoring as of late on The Voice, for a burst of shimmering color on her eyes. Supporting her three remaining artists on the April 18 episode, Christina was the most glam coach around with her shimmering ombré smokey eye and textured updo.
To match her blue cutout top, Christina opted for a matching blue smokey eye with a twist that came courtesy of a smoked out purple shade on the outer corner of her eyes. Christina’s makeup artist, Etienne Ortega, was behind her latest Voice look, creating a bright pop of color that’s perfect for the sunny season ahead.
If you want to copy Xtina’s ombré look, use a product like the Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour, whose stick formulation lets you create both a liner and shadow look. To start, use the turquoise Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Peacock to line your lower lash line from the inner corner to just past the center of your eye. Then apply that same color across your lid at the inner corner, blending it out so that it matches the distance of the liner on the bottom lash line.
Working with the Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Plum, line the outer corner of your lower lash line to start the purple ombré effect. Then, apply the color to the outer corner of your lid, blending it up just past the crease and outwards in a diffused cat eye shape.
Complete the eye look by going back to make sure the turquoise and purple shadows are blended on the lids and lower lash line, then curl your lashes and add two coats of black mascara. Etienne finished the look by pairing the statement-making eye makeup with a simple glossy nude lip, and Giannandrea used Macadamia Professional hair products to style Christina’s hair off of her face to fully show off her makeup.
