When a missing child forces the hospital to go into lockdown, Ben makes the shocking decision to operate on a pregnant mother in the middle of a hallway — and without the proper surgical equipment!
Alex works to save the baby’s life, while Ben tries to justify his actions. Ben’s more than a little flustered over the whole situation. Miranda walks in, and Alex gives her a look. That’s when Chief Bailey takes over.
She asks Ben if she can speak with him outside the room, but he continues to insist that he stay. “Dr. Warren, I’m not asking,” Bailey says. Come with me right now.” Ben looks shocked by Bailey’s words. He gives his wife a stunned look before turning to Alex. He knows what’s going on. Bailey will be “faced with the repercussions of the event and whether or not Ben’s impulsive actions were justified.”
Could Ben get fired for this? Will Bailey have to fire her own husband? Things are about to get really interesting on Grey’s Anatomy.
The show is airing a 2-hour episode on April 14. Ben will be at the center of the big episode. Get ready for a lot of turmoil between the husband and wife.
“The reality is that he’s still learning to be a surgeon, so everybody has an opinion about what Ben did,” Jason George, who plays Ben, told our sister site TVLine. “But, ultimately, it’s Bailey’s call as to whether or not she believes this surgical resident — who happens to be her husband — did the right thing or not. And needless to say it puts a little stress on the relationship.”
