Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are one step further in the finalization of their divorce. Eight months after announcing their split, the couple finally came to an agreement on a settlement, which they filed with the court on April 11. Find out the shocking way they’ve negotiated on money and kids here!
If Blake Shelton, 39, is waiting for the finalization of Gwen Stefani, 46, and Gavin Rossdale’s divorce to propose…he might not have to wait much longer! The exes came to a settlement in their divorce, and might be just weeks away from this split becoming official. Get the scoop on the terms they’ve come to here!
Gwen and Gavin didn’t have a prenup, so based on California law, they should’ve split everything acquired in the marriage 50/50, which would’ve worked out well for Gavin, who didn’t make nearly as much as Gwen in the 13 years they were together. However, he has reportedly agreed not to ask for his share of Gwen’s millions, and has taken less than 50% when it comes to property ownership, too, according to TMZ.
The singers have three sons together, Kingston, Zuma and Apollo, and agreed to 50/50 joint custody. However, the site reports that Gavin will likely have the boys more than 50% of the time since his ex will be so busy with her anticipated touring schedule (she just released an album about the breakup and her new romance with Blake, This Is What The Truth Feels Like, on March 18).
Gavin is also reportedly not asking for child support, which he could since Gwen makes so much more. Considering he allegedly cheated on her with the family nanny, Mindy Mann, it seems like not asking for much is the least he could do!
Now, all that’s left is for a judge to sign off on the agreement they’ve come to, and this thing is officially over! That bodes well for Blake and Gwen, whose romance has been heating up since last fall, when they got together after their respective splits (Blake divorced Miranda Lambert, 32, in July).
