OMG, you won’t believe this, ‘Pretty Little Liars’ fans! Brandon Jones, who had a recurring role as Andrew on the hit Freeform series, was arrested for allegedly pointing a gun at his neighbor after a dispute on March 24. Will he do time in jail for the felony charge?!
Brandon Jones’ character on Pretty Little Liars faced some trouble with the law when he was suspected as “A,” and now, the actor is experiencing legal drama in real life, too! He got into a fight with his neighbor and allegedly pulled out a gun during the argument — yikes!
The 27-year-old and his neighbor got into a heated dispute, and by the end of the argument, Brandon had allegedly pulled out a handgun and pointed it right at the other guy, according to TMZ. He never fired the gun, but just taking it out in general is an assault, and the D.A. has charged Brandon with felony assault with a firearm. NOT good!
Brandon faces up to five and a half years in prison if he’s found guilty, but his team seems confident that he won’t face any jail time. “It is our understanding that the gun in Mr. Jones’ possession was funny legal and registered, that he was on his girlfriend’s property, and that he and his girlfriend felt that they were under threat in a dispute with neighbors,” his rep said in a statement.
The actor has also been charged with two misdemeanors: Exhibiting a deadly weapon and exhibiting a concealable firearm in public, although the site reports that the latter stems from an incident that went down back in Oct. 2015.
Brandon stars as Andrew Campbell on Pretty Little Liars, although his character hasn’t appeared in the series since back in 2015. It’s unknown whether or not he’ll return at some point in the upcoming seventh season.
Are you shocked to hear about Brandon’s arrest, HollywoodLifers?
