Yikes! New York Mets outfielder Yoenis Cespedes went for a major catch during their game against the Miami Marlins on April 13, unfortunately it didn’t quite work out how he planned. Yoenis totally destroyed a fan while diving for the foul ball. See the brutal hit, right here!
Oh my god, that was brutal! New York Mets player Yoenis Cespedes, 30, made an epic dive for a foul ball during his game against the Miami Marlins on April 13, and instead of being a game-changing play, it was a fan-crushing nightmare! You’ve got to see this crazy video for yourself, here.
This is crazy! Poor Yo was trying to make a completely epic play – a dive into the stands to snatch a foul ball and secure an out – but it did NOT go his way. The New York Mets player completely crushed a fan in the crowd… and he didn’t even catch the ball! Another fan stands back to look at the crumpled pile of bodies before proudly displaying the game ball in the air. Ouch!
Luckily, no one was hurt in the accident. Yoenis was checked out by his trainer and continued to play as if it never happened, and even went on to win the game 2-1. As for the man who got body slammed by the player? It turns out that he’s the tour manager for the band The So So Glos. They tweeted about the take-down, assuring fans he’s okay and laughing about the incident.

So what about the ball that everyone was clamoring for? A fan named Nik Gattine caught it, and is now the proud owner of the game ball. Jeez, we sure hope Yoni the tour manager got a little something too after being drilled in the face by a knee!
