Things may get pretty awkward on the set of ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ when Nina Dobrev reunites with her ex, Ian Somerhalder, next season. Ian said Season 8 will be the series’ last, and we learned Nina will return, so how does Ian’s wife, Nikki Reed feel about that? We have the scoop!
Nikki Reed was “relieved” when Nina Dobrev quit The Vampire Diaries in April 2015, but HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY learned she’ll return to the series before it wraps in the spring of 2017. Obviously, that may be an issue for Nikki, who’s now married to Nina’s ex and TVD co-star, Ian Somerhalder, so HollywoodLife.com did some digging and discovered how Nikki truly feels about Nina’s planned return.
Surprisingly, Nikki isn’t upset about Ian and Nina reuniting on set. “Nikki and Ian are so in love. There’s nothing he could possibly do to upset her. The idea of Ian and Nina reuniting on screen for The Vampire Diaries doesn’t bother her one bit. She has no issues with this whatsoever. Nikki and Ian are celebrating their one year anniversary on April 26, and that’s what she’s most looking forward to for the time being,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
Well, we’re certainly glad everyone can put their difference aside for the sake of the fans. Even Nina and Ian are willing to put their drama aside in order to give the series a “deserving” sendoff.
“The show did so much for [Ian and Nina’s] careers and put them on the map. For Julie Plec and the other writers and creators, they feel like they owe it to them to suck it up and send the show off any way they want to send it off,” another insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “At the end of the day, they are professional, and that would win out over any other drama.”
