Donald Trump might soon be leaving Twitter! If he becomes the President of the United States, that is. The controversial GOP candidate explained that he thinks it’s a great tool while he’s campaigning, but he would leave it behind if he made it to the White House. Here’s why.
Donald Trump, 69, played it pretty cool for his New York town hall on April 12, but he did say one thing that was totally shocking: that he might be quitting Twitter! Of course, that’s only if he wins the presidency. Find out why he would drop his favorite form of social media, right here.
Time and time again, Donald has gotten himself into trouble by tweeting and retweeting controversial messages and rants on Twitter. However, he says we wouldn’t have to worry about that anymore if America elects him president. When Anderson Cooper asked him if he would continue tweeting from the Oval Office during his New York town hall, he said he would sign off.
“No, I wouldn’t be doing it,” Donald explained while on stage with his family. “Or, I would do it very little. It’s different.” However, his Twitter tirades aren’t going anywhere for the rest of his campaign. “But right now if I’m fighting one of my opponents I can tweet out things, or my feelings,” explained Donald. “There’s a genius to it.”
Truly weird Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky reminds me of a spoiled brat without a properly functioning brain. He was terrible at DEBATE!

The rest of the family defended and even praised his controversial use of the platform. His son Eric pointed out that it’s a good thing that Donald tweets for himself while everyone else has staffers tweeting for them. His wife Melania, however, is a little less thrilled, saying she’s begged him to stop, but has since given up on trying to reign in the controversy. “He knows the consequences,” she explained.
