Even the celeb set isn’t immune to watery, puffy eyes — especially come springtime! So, how does Jordana Brewster combat her seasonal allergy symptoms and still look gorgeous? She dished on her go-to trick — and the best part is, you already have everything you need hanging around the house!
Whether she’s lighting up the screen, looking glam on the red carpet or in total mom mode with her son, Jordana Brewster, 35, always looks effortlessly gorgeous — but even she suffers from puffy, watery eyes and a red nose come allergy season! Let’s face it, even if you don’t suffer from allergies, we’re sure you’ve dealt with your fair share of puffy eyes — so, how can you fake a well-rested, allergy-free look?
“I love depuffing gels, but I’ll also put spoons in the freezer and then place them under my eyes to decrease puffiness,” she said. The actress is no stranger to allergy season, so she teamed up with Gilt and Zyrtec to help them launch the first-ever Allergy Beauty Face Kit, available exclusively on Gilt.com this spring — and she was quick to offer up her expert tips.
With a slew of products out there, we love a good home remedy to get the trick done — especially because there’s no convenient time for an allergy attack! Although she does suffer from seasonal allergies, Jordana doesn’t shun her makeup — instead, she finds creative ways to highlight her features and distract from the symptoms. Her tips? “Contouring and waterproof mascara!” Instead of packing on the powder, try to take the attention away from your irritated features. “A bold lip can distract from the puffiness,” Jordana said.
While her beauty routine may change drastically come spring, her effortless LA style isn’t much different. “The fashion doesn’t change drastically for LA, except for patterns and colors,” she said, admitting sometimes her go-to looks aren’t the sexy silhouettes you might see her rock on screen! “I love what my husband hates,” she admitted, laughing. “Jean culottes! I like things that are comfortable and versatile.”
I think all ladies out there can agree with Jordana on that one!
