Forget ‘what a man’ – what a surprise! When Ryan Reynolds went up to accept the Best Comedic Performance award at the MTV Movie Awards on April 10, not only was he joined by a group of dancing Deadpools, but he got his own victory music, courtesy of an unexpected live performance by Salt-N-Pepa!
The taste of victory of sweet, but Ryan Reynolds, 39, will tell you that it tastes so, so much better with some “salt and pepper.” Thankfully, the hip-hop legends Salt-N-Pepa, and about 15 Deadpools, were there at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards to help Ryan celebrate his major win in style!
After Seth Rogen, 33, and Zac Efron, 28, announced Ryan the winner of Best Comedic Performance for his role in Deadpool, Ryan was joined by an actor in a Deadpool costume. Suddenly, the familiar sounds of “Shoop” started to play, but this was no mp3. Salt-N-Pepa emerged to sing to Ryan while another group of Deadpools pulled out some very explicit and very amazing dance moves! This definitely was the victory music Ryan’s win deserved!
Ryan appreciated the impromptu concert in his honor. “I’m really glad Amy Schumer didn’t win,” Ryan said. “That would be really weird with those dances.” Well, the MTV voters would disagree, as they gave Ryan the golden popcorn to take home to his wife, Blake Lively, 28, and daughter! Be sure you have your own personal soundtrack after .
When Ryan’s baby girl grows up, she can look up to Salt-N-Pepa as role models. Salt revealed her secret to being empowered, EXCLUSIVELY telling HollywoodLife.com that women should be “okay being a boss,” and that “in the workplace, you got to be a boss. You may not be liked but in order to move forward in life you have to risk not being liked.”

Hopefully, Blake more than just likes her husband’s moves in the bedroom. While accepting the award, Ryan dedicated the win to the love of his life. “Everything I do is to make her laugh,” he said. “Especially the sex. Thank you.” Funny joke, Ryan – or, at least, we hope that was a joke.
What do you think about Salt-N-Pepa’s appearance, HollywoodLifers? Did it make you want to “shoop?”
