The first ‘American Idol’ winner knows how to slay on stage! That’s just what Kelly Clarkson, 33, did when she performed a mashup of eleven of her hit songs on the finale. Watch the incredible performance here.
Kelly Clarkson kicked off her
performance mini-concert with “Miss Independent,” the lead single from her 2003 debut studio album, Thankful. From there, she went into basically every Kelly anthem you loved! You have to watch here.
She made a super seamless transition from there into her other huge hits: Break Away,” “Since You Been Gone,” “Because of You,” “Walk Away,” “My Life Would Suck Without You,” “Already Gone,” “Don’t You Wanna Stay,” “Stronger,” “Heartbreak Song,” and “Invincible.” She ended with the one we were all waiting for — “A Moment Like This” — the song that she performed after winning the first season of Idol. Listen to Kelly’s hits here!
Kelly, who is currently pregnant with baby no. 2 so couldn’t attend the show live, did live tweet the finale. When one fan tweeted a photo of her finale, with the caption, “the best people you will ever meet. Thank you for the memories,” she retweeted, adding, “Agreed! I can’t believe I’m sitting here with my little girl about to watch the end! How crazy is life?! #whoknew.”
She also tweeted during her performance, “Who’s that sweaty, pregnant girl singing?? ….oh snap that’s me hahaha!! #ohwell.” Of course, Kelly looked stunning on the show, and very pregnant I might add so we give her props for being able to get on that stage and seriously nail it.
While she couldn’t be at the live show, she did attend the final season in February for a tearful performance of “Piece by Piece,” where we all re-fell in love with her.
