Get excited, folks, because UFC 200 is shaping up to be an epic event. Miesha Tate will be defending her bantamweight title for the first time, but is it against Ronda Rousey? Click to find out all the details!
The UFC announced that current Bantamweight Champion Miesha Tate, 29, will defend her title for the first time at UFC 200 on July 9 in Las Vegas. Now the big question on everyone’s mind is, will her opponent be former champion, Ronda Rousey?
Drum roll please… sorry folks, Ronda will NOT be fighting Miesha at UFC 200. The new champ’s lucky opponent just so happens to be a fierce fighter by the name of Amanda Nunes. This fight, to be contested at 135 pounds, will co-headline UFC 200. For those of you who aren’t very familiar with Amanda’s UFC career, she is (12-4) and on a three-fight winning streak. She is currently 5-1 overall in the UFC and her only loss was to the former title challenger Cat Zingano. This is going to be one epic fight and we are super pumped!

Like the rest of us, we are eagerly awaiting Ronda’s big return to the Octagon. Sadly, the former title holder has said multiple times that she won’t return to the cage until late 2016. We understand and respect her decision, and we know that when she does come back — she is going to tear it up! As for Holly Holm, her next fight is TBD, but we do know she’s not hurting for money, because she took home $500,000 after losing to Miesha last month.
