Will Dylan O’Brien ever be able to finish filming ‘Maze Runner: The Death Cure’? After a scary accident left him severely injured on the film’s set, Dylan’s costar Giancarlo Esposito revealed his fate. Get all the details right here!
Dylan O’Brien is one tough cookie! That’s exactly what his Maze Runner costar Giancarlo Esposito had to report when it came to the 24-year-old actor’s current condition. Dylan’s fans were worried sick about him after he was severely injured on the film’s set on March 17, but fortunately Giancarlo said Dylan’s healing process is going “very well” and it won’t be too long before he is filming again. Phew!
“He’s healing very well,” Giancarlo told E! News. “He got put together a couple of weeks ago…He’s one tough cookie.” And thanks to Dylan’s quick healing process, E! reports that he’ll be back on set and ready to film in about six weeks!
This is great for Dylan’s fans to hear, as it was initially reported that he had broken several bones after a car ran over him while filming a scene for Maze Runner: The Death Cure in Vancouver. Fox revealed in a statement that Dylan was immediately transferred to a nearby hospital and the film’s production had been tentatively shut down. It was later determined that Dylan fractured either his cheekbone or his orbital socket in the accident.
Although it sounds like Dylan is doing really well now, Giancolo stressed that the incident was actually a lot more serious than Dylan’s resulting injuries indicate. But even despite the scary circumstances, apparently Dylan’s spirits were always high!
“He got his bell rung,” Giancarlo added. “I would imagine many who witnessed thought that was it…[But] he’s a survivor. The one good thing about Dylan that I think is going to help him get back on schedule with us very soon is he has a great attitude.”
What a trooper, that Dylan! He had fans, Maze Runner costars, and Teen Wolf costars alike sending prayers as soon as his accident occurred, so there are tons of people breathing a sigh of relief knowing that he’s going to be okay. Let’s just hope injury is avoided upon his set return!
HollywoodLifers, send your love to “tough cookie” Dylan as he continues to recover from such a scary accident!
