Watching Luke Bryan perform never gets old! Luckily, we got another chance to see him take the stage at the 2016 ACM Awards on April 3, and as always, it was pretty much perfect.
Luke Bryan, 39, is the king of the ACM Awards! Not only is he hosting the event, but he also performed during the show, and we’re still totally swooning over it. Is anyone lovin’ his new single “Huntin’, Fishin’ & Lovin’ Every Day” as much as we are?!
Luke’s performance was actually used to open the show, and he looked beyond hot in a leather jacket and ball cap while getting the audience pumped. He also showed off his epic acoustic guitar skills while showing his new co-host, Dierks Bentley, how it’s done! And he even had a special guest by his side to help kick things off — his former co-host, Blake Shelton, showed up to help him rock out at the end oft he song. Love it!
This is Luke’s fourth year hosting the show, and while he’s usually joined by his buddy Blake, this year it was Dierks who filled in. We just know the guys are going to be amazing at keeping the show entertaining and fun! You can s
But besides just cracking jokes and keeping things light, Luke has a lot riding on this night. He’s up for the coveted Entertainer of the Year award, which he won in both 2014 and 2012. However, he’s going up against Jason Aldean, Garth Brooks, Eric Church and Miranda Lambert, so it’s definitely not going to be easy! On top of that, the country singer and Karen Fairchild are nominated for Vocal Event of the Year for their duet “Home Alone Tonight.” Such a good one!
Luke is currently out on the road for his Kill The Lights tour, which will continue throughout the summer. He’s already had two songs, “Kick the Dust Up” and “Strip It Down,” from his most recent record hit No. 1 on the country charts, and it looks like he’s on his way to snagging another top spot — especially after this performance!
What did you think of Luke’s performance, HollywoodLifers?
